Thanks guys! I made a few more detail corrections. I guess I did miss the anti-aliasing. Getting old, short attention span, too big a hurry. I said Kevlar, assuming it would be Kevlar plated steel. Heck I don't know what it would be built out of. May need to use plastic, so it won't sink from the we...

The previous drawings have been updated. Unless any of you can point out something I need to change or fix, I think this is the final version. I decided to leave the aft mast and probably a few other technical issues that have met with some objections and debate about the realististic practicality, ...

DJBattlestations, why are you hijacking BB's excellent thread with this crap? Oops! Everytime I turn around I seem to step on someones toes. I certainly don't mean too, and I certainly don't want to "hijack" anyones thread. Should I PM BB1987 to discuss this and get permission from him?? (I told yo...

It's been awhile here, but i once had a 1985 Montana in the works, it's actually still not finished but at least she's presentable enough to be posted (the chaff launchers and the Mk.37/25 director still need to be placed abeam the fore-funnel, other than that it's mostly a detailing job.): basical...

Updated again from last post. I have moved the 57mm's back away from the 16" Turrets #2 & 3, added Chaff launchers and adjusted the Harpoon layout. I altered the VLS deck, so it better reflects that it is wider. A few more radar and antenna upgrades. Misc details and 4-.50 cal MGs added. Still, ever...

Here is an updated version. Still more to do, but there was significant progress to show you. Everytime I try to correct that blurred type, it still is blurred. I'm using the right font and size. What am I doing wrong? http://www.majhost.com/gallery/DJBattlestations/ShipBucket/dj_bb-67_montana_2013....

You have to move the VLS, the interference from the mast and funnels makes them nonfunctional. Also, it looks like you have a couple roll up doors right where the VLS magizine would be, what are those for? Armor really isn't important, and the weight of it is one of the reasons such a conversion wo...

erik_t poses these questions, What mission does this ship satisfy? Does this mission really matter? Why can't other extant ships fulfill that mission? What makes this concept special? What is this going to cost? Is the performance-to-cost ratio worthwhile? How does this concept differ from the stand...

I certainly don't mean to sound disgruntled. I did say I put it here to scrutinize, advise, or laugh at, though I had hoped I'd get the core advice I was seeking. I'll eventually get the info anyways, but I was trying to cut corners and speed up the process by consulting the very knowledgable expert...

Why? Why anything? People all over here are drawing ships that don't exist. I've got mine. BTW, I've shared this with some kibashers and they like it. You just may find photos of 2 or3 plastic and metal kitbashes of this on the net in the next few years much your chagrin. I told y'all, I had my own ...
