Hello again

The last french coastal submarine type still missing: The Loire design of the 630-tonnes-class. Sources: One puny sketchy drawing and one blurry photograph which both probably depict the right submarine... or not. That was it, in all the www. Anyway, here she is.

Lack of good sources makes it more remarkable effort. :)

Hello again!

Next in line: the Saphir-class submarine minelayer Rubis, probably the most successful ship of the FNFL (and a popular diving location after being scuttled in 1958; one day I pay a visit to her. When the kids go on vacation on their own. About 2025...)

And, while I am at it: My interpretation of the Redoutable-class. First the Archimède, differing from most of the rest by a modified rudder installation, then the Pascal in post-armistice neutrality markings; she differed from the majority of her class in the shape of her forward sail, if I get the source right (and if the source got the boat right). For the late-war FNFL fit, see DP's Casabianca.

Garlicdesign, I must say that your work with the subs IMHO is in the same high quality as for your surface vessels. Keep up the good work :D
