They are usually "fuzzy" when you scale them. Just make sure you get the length correct, and then replace all the lines with single pixel lines. For things like port holes just copy them from the equipment sheet and place them over the ones on the reference picture. If you've scaled correctly the two should be pretty close in size. Then find the correct guns and place them over the ones on the reference drawing. . Again, the two will be pretty close in size if you've done it correctly. Outline all the basic lines with single pixel lines, then go through with your eraser tool and get rid of all the pixelated stuff from the reference drawings. Full in with the correct colors and then add detail. I think you're thinking this is a lot harder than it really is. Do all that and you'll have the best picture you've done so far

Clemson was the class that came after the Wickes class that Ward was a part of. [ img ]

Wickes and Clemson class were nearly identical, since the Clemson were an upgraded version of the Wickes, yet some smaller details would have been probably different. for sure the Clemsons had a larger rudder (original plans even called for a redesign of the stern).
