Well, there's a reason why I draw ships.

Probably one of the best fighters in the world, the Sukhoi Su-27 (and higher) series. Commonly known as the Flanker family.

It's a cross between a MiG 1.42 and a PAK-FA.

PAK-FA is correct. :D the engine section, wing leading edge and basic design of canopy and hull are taken from the PAKFA. the wing design is the distintive look of the other(european design) , and the tails are taken from an US navy concept. ;) btw, timothyc, this one better then the old one? :D

Yes, wing design looks a bit like Saab Draken. Tailfins are from the A/F-X then I assume?

Is it a carrier based fighter or land based? I think it's going to have a hard time getting of the ground with the wings that far back. Perhaps (retractable) canards could be added?

Nice lifting body design though, probably lots of fuel capacity, and probably internal weapon bays. I'd like to see a ventral view as well. :)

Both correct. Btw, it has similar leadsing edge 'canards' as the PAKFA, and the draken had an really short runway lenght, so that should not be an problem

:D ok that was what I aimed at. btw, about the ventral view, that will come soon, bot now there are still big holes in the underside because I am wrestling with the intake positions.

I started again on the camelot, as the old one was rather crappy.
first WIP:
Attachment:
camelot v3 WIP 1.png
don't comment on the few details that are on it. the only things I have for certain is the weapons fit (not the placement) the lenght.
it will be an CATOBAR carrier with an rather forward placed structure.
weapons:
2 oto melara 76 stealth (maybe lw's, if I need more space)
3/4 goalkeepers
2* 12 VLS, suitable for short range missiles.
radar will be SMART-L for air search and an light tracking radar for missile guidance.

comments and ideas are appriciated, but I will not reply to comments on the obvious things and the things that I have in mind already, but are not yet drawn.
