12x14" is not going to work on that hull. If you want 12x14" guns, look at the Fuso and Ise classes, as they are of the right size for that number of guns of that size.
Will 12x10" work here?

The design is also way too old for a battleship designed in 1928-29.
Tristan wants to remake its background, so, I will temporary remove the ship.
Thanks for commenting Karle94 and ezgo394!

Would a land and sea invasion of Antara by Japan be a possibility in late 1940?

Easy answer = No.

Bit too far away.

More likely to be Germany.

Hmm... so a Pearl Harbour-esque attack then?

Ask yourself who Antara is tied to by Treaty?

Britain?, France?, who?

Japan would have to travel half way round the world to attack Antara. Then try to get back again. There is absolutely no reason for Japan to do that. Their fleet could easily get cut off and destroyed.

I think, now it would be definetly attacked and maybe captured by IJA, like a Papoa New Guinea.

Occupation was an interesting thing to think about. I just want to see what everyone elses thinks would happen before I post some more history, followed by some ships.

Ok, the new map and position would make a difference.

Where you are now would make a tremendous difference to the makeup of your population too. Until medicine becomes good enough to combat all of the "Island" fevers that will kill off a lot of non-indigenous people. Women and children can be especially open to such fevers/infections. Growth of your imported population will be very slow.

The Japanese would want Antara for whatever resources you have given the islands. Those resources are going to have to be very good for a set of islands that size to be able to afford to build battleships.

Also developed Antara with it's ports and position may be a great base for IJN...
