So you've just got plane old empty space around the bridge then for that CIWS set-up which mos defiantly penetrates the superstructure immediately aft of the bridge which was why I said it wasn't really ideal.

Check the lining on the bow and aft of the bridge, it's a much harsher angle than yours. The gun is also protected against wash coming from the sides compared to the exposed mount on your vessel. Also note the height difference between the aft deck / helipad and foredeck on the DZP compared to yours which stays pretty much flush throughout.
That is why I don't really agree with the forward set-up.
