History

Hai Jian II (海劍二, lit. 'Sea Sword II') is a surface-to-air missile system employed by the Republic of China Navy. It is derived from the Tian Jian air-to-air missile.

The National Zhongshan Academy of Sciences began development of a navalised SAM in 2005 (Minguo 94), and large-scale production began in 2021 (Minguo 110).

The oblique launcher is currently employed, though vertical launch may be installed in the future. Hai Jian II has an effective range of 30km (19 mi), and weighs 184kg.
