History

The Type 05 amphibious armored vehicle (Chinese: 05式两栖装甲车) is a family of amphibious tracked armored fighting vehicles developed by Norinco in early 2000s. The vehicle is specially designed for high-speed swimming, maximum speed on water is 25 km/h. There are two main combat variants: ZTD-05 or ZLT-05 (VN-16 for export) - Assault gun/Amphibious tank variant armed with ZPL-98A 105mm rifled tank gun. ZBD-05 (VN-18 for export) - Infantry fighting vehicle variant armed with ZPT-99 30mm autocannon and HJ-73C ATGM.

Part description

Each variant includes three images. The top one is in single color, while the middle and bottom ones are in standard PLAN Marine Corps camouflage. The bottom one shows the status during high-speed swimming, with the hydraulically actuated bow deployed and tracks retracted into the hull..
