Militairy

The military is composed of four branches, all of which carry the prefix Koninklijke (Royal):

  • keninklik Mariine (FKM), the Royal Fryssian Navy, including the Naval Air Service and Marine Corps;
  • keninklik Lânmacht (FKL), the Royal Fryssian Army;
  • keninklik Loftmacht (KLu), the Royal Fryssian Air Force;
  • keninklik Militêre Plysje (KMar), the Royal Military Police, tasks include military police and border control.
